Biography
Dr. S. Priyanga is currently working as Assistant Professor at the department of biochemistry, Karpagam University, Coimbatore, India. She holds a Ph.D degree in biochemistry. She has special interest in the area of natural product research and diabetes. The main objective of this study is focused on delineating the antidiabetic effects of Macrotyloma uniflorum in STZ rats in vivo. In addition in silico studies were performed to identify bioactive principles with good binding affinity to adiponectin. In vitro studies were done using 3T3-adipocytes to corroborate the findings of in silico analyses. The three pronged approach identified potential anti-diabetic principles from Macrotyloma Uniflorum
